Any Opinions On What Paul Was Saying Here? Especially In Verses 4-6
    Hebrews 6

1Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death,[1] and of faith in God, 2instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. 3And God permitting, we will do so.
4It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, 5who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age, 6if they fall away, to be brought back to repentance, because[2] to their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.
7Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is farmed receives the blessing of God. 8But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless and is in danger of being cursed. In the end it will be burned.
9Even though we speak like this, dear friends, we are confident of better things in your case--things that accompany salvation. 10God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. 11We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, in order to make your hope sure. 12We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.

Should We As Christians Stay Out Of The World?
i'm just sick and bored and felt like posting something. i'm not sure what though. the only thing really on my mind is how we have double standards in our faith and lives. we may be against something bad, but we may be for something equally bad. another thing is the fact that the Southern Baptist Convention will tell people it's time to start pulling their children out of public schools because they are 'ungodly,' when were public schools ever truly godly to begin with?

if we all withdraw ourselves from the world and stay in our little houses or go to our country clubs know as churches, who is going to be there to bring people to the Light?

i think it's time to realize that this life isn't about how 'clean,' and sinless we can stay. it's about showing love to others and hopefully through that we can bring those people to God. i'm not saying by any means that it's alright to do anything we want because as Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 6:12 {You may say, "I am allowed to do anything." But I reply, "Not everything is good for you." And even though "I am allowed to do anything," I must not become a slave to anything.} so yes we can do anything, but we have to realize that we should not let those things take control of our lives. you see this yet again in 1 Corinthians 10:23
    {"You say, "I am allowed to do anything"--but not everything is helpful. You say, "I am allowed to do anything"--but not everything is beneficial. 24Don't think only of your own good. Think of other Christians and what is best for them."}
here we are told not to do anything that may make another Christian fall. so it has alot to do with, the 'society' we are in at that appointed time. (for example; friends hanging out together with the same convictions can say "bad" words or can drink an alcoholic beverage. as long as that is not a downfall or conviction in one of their lives. Or if you are in a bar, there is nothing wrong with have an alcoholic beverage...you can still talk to an unbeliever about God and share with them the truth of Christianity and not just the religious, dogmatic, organized side of it.)

we have two types of of unproductive Christians in this situation: First, we have the one that feels as if we should do nothing that makes us 'apart' of the world. which means we should not go into the bars, clubs, theaters, etc., etc., where the unbelievers are. well, Jesus, Himself, hung out with the most wicked of the wicked. He feasted with them and drank wine with them.
the argument here is that well that is Jesus...He was perfect. i agree, Jesus was sinless and did not fall prey to the addictions of this atmosphere. however, God will not put a temptation in our lives that we cannot handle. so that rules out that argument, and also God knows we are not perfect. the fact is we should not let ourselves become consumed with that one atmosphere. we must have support and accountability, but we must go into the world bringing people to God through Christ as we have been commanded.

the second type of Christian is the Christian who is already in the world, but he is not striving to make a change. this person already goes to the clubs and bars for fun, but he never does anything more than that. 1 Corinthians 6:23 says You say, "I am allowed to do anything"--but not everything is helpful. You say, "I am allowed to do anything"--but not everything is beneficial. 24Don't think only of your own good. Think of other Christians and what is best for them.
if we are apart of that crowd then we are being selfish and are worried about only ourselves, we then have a right to be judged by our fellow believers. however, we can change one aspect of this scenario and change the whole situation. while we are having our fun, we should be open to possibly bringing up a conversation with somebody, not just starting off about God, but we could talk to the person and get into a conversation and possibly our beliefs might have a chance of coming up. if not though, we still were striving. the fact is that the witness field is where ever we are. when we are out having fun, we should always have our eyes open to a possibility of witnessing to somebody.

the third Christian is the one who feels like it is being useful and a witness to bring a non-believer to church. that is not being a witness, and it is harmful for the church.
'the Southern Baptist faith and message' says "a New Testament church of the Lord Jesus Christ is an autonomous local congregation of baptized believers, associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel; observing the two ordinances of Christ, governed by His laws, exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them by His Word, and seeking to extend the gospel to the ends of the earth." it's very interesting that it says a congregation of baptized believers which means that non-believers do not belong in the church. it also says it is always seeking to extend the gospel to the ends of the earth. i see that as saying that the people in the church should be doing their job and witnessing and trying to save a person instead of bringing a non-believer into the congregation. now days though, i understand that it's easy to be 'saved' by the churches standards, and i also understand that it's more about how many people are attending the church and how much money the church gets these days more than if all the people are getting saved. just as religion is based on your personal spiritual life with God, i believe that bringing somebody to salvation is the same. we should be doing it one on one instead of bringing our friends to church and hopefully they will get something out of the message. salvation has nothing to do with a church, it is between a person and God.

the world is a dirty, sinful place. we as believers will be criticized on both sides of the fence also. the organized religion will not like the fact that we say we are believers, but are fellowshipping with the 'sinners,' and many sinners will not like us being in our territory. however, it is important, and it is something we should be doing as believers. remember, the 'religious' people of the Biblical era condemned Jesus for hanging out with those people also. however, the people in many churches do not need a physician as Jesus said about the jews of his period (note: might i add that it's not that they did not need Him, but it's the fact that they did not think they needed Him. it's just like a person may think he or she is well, but could totally be eaten up on the inside with cancer....however, that person never knew they needed a physician.) i believe that's it's time for us as 'true' believers to step up and show that to be an effective Christian we must go into the world and bring people to God. the deceived/non-believers are not going to come to us.

The Oldest And Longest War Ever Fought....
"From war to war; from genocide to genocide; from holocaust to holocaust, our history can be summed up in one word: Death. From the first tribal wars to the first civil war; from the French Revolution to the Russian Revolution; from World War I or World War II; from Vietnam to inner city gang wars, mankind has in freedom chosen this path, mankind has chosen this war of evil against good.
In this our history and origin, all these wars have come to a bloody end. But there is one war that man started in the beginning that continues unto this generation of youth. Every day, as our world steps away from truth, darkness of this war closes in on us. It will continue to become darker until we admit that the war we despise and the hunger and suffering it produces is in the battlefield of our hearts.
This war is not nation against nation or man against man, but is simply: Man against God."

I was trying to think of something to post, and I was wearing my Headnoise t-shirt which has lyrics on it that paraphrases this passage from a book called "Youth Of The Apocalypse And The Last True Rebellion" by Monks John Marler and Andrew Wermuth. So i pulled the book and wanted to type the passage. As I was thinking about the lyrics and the passage, it just made me think about things I said today in a conversation. I was talking about 'The Fall of Mankind' and as humans we want to make choices for ourselves. However our carnal tendencies are to always to go the way opposite of truth and Godliness, so everyday I, and we, should be prepared to fight this war, because if we don't fight against our carnal tendencies, we just as much as everybody else are causing the darkness of the world to further cover the Light: God. I think as believers it is time to fight against our tendencies and to step up and let people know about true love, God's love. We should also be wary of the actions we do in public to not give the wrong impression, unless we are willing to back up and explain our actions and our personal convictions (I do not believe we should however have to 'fit the mold' of the typical Christian however. If people's prejudices cause problems based on little things that mean nothing such as the way we dress, i believe that is their problem.) It's time to stop being complacent. It's time for us to realize that every little thing we do is being watched, and we should hold ourselves beyond reproach in our actions. We must become a traitor to our instinctive, carnal ways and remember we are now God's. We should be in the world penetrating the darkness with the Light...the truth...God. It's not our place to wait for others or even leave it up to the others to do this task. We should be doing it....even if nobody else cares. We must do what God tells us to do...even if all the others forsake His command. We've got to decide what we are going to do individually; we can either let the darkness drown-out the hope that the non-believers have in their hearts for something more, or we can show them the truth and hopefully stop the suffering in their hearts. History is not on our side, but we can change the world little by little if we only try.

Mommy's Alright; Daddy's Alright; Don't Give Yourself Away
Hey all, i am having a pretty good day today...so i thought i would post. i had a god chat with an old friend last ngiht, so i think that made things good today. the last time we had talked; we had a big fuss, but now we are able t talk again. i should go see my grandparents and my dad, but they didn't answer the phone when i called their houses. i don't really want to waste gas and go out there if they aren't home. i wish i could go to Cornerstone so i could see all my friends, but i'm so borke this summer so i know i'm not going to be able too. speaking of that i should call some of them to see how they have been. i should also play guitar today, because it's been 2 days since i've even picked the damn thing up. I got the essential Cheap Trick last night, so i'm jamming to that right now.

    Yesterday
I have done nothing today. I slept most of it away, but I was catching up from yesterday. i woke up early yesterday and went to the coast to see my friends Ashley and Jenny. I hadn't seen them since last summer, because they have been away to their colleges. SO i went to visit them, and we did our usual trek around the coast. First, we went to eat...then we went to Goldmine Records (a record shop with tons of old, used records), and I got the Alice Cooper "Constrictor" album (now i need Trash and Hey Stoopid)...we then went to the mall, and I got this really colorful, original motley Crue t-shirt released during the Decade Of Decadence tour...then I went to Ashley's, and we rested and went out to eat...then we went back to her house and watched a movie and talked. It was really nice seeing my friends. I wish we could all hang out more...but until next time, may God be with us all.

Keepin' On Rockin' In The Free World
well, well, well.....it's been a long, long time. yea, it's 4:20am, i'm supposed to be leaving for the coast in 5 hours to visit a friend who's home from college for the week...and i can't sleep, so i figured i would get on here and actually try updating it more regularly.
i need to find a job. at least my mom says i do (lol). well, actually i do, because i'm broke these days...however, it's so much easier to play guitar and work on new songs which i would like to have as my job one day.
i do plan on recording a 5 song 7" soon. i've been thinking about it this week. i have 4 songs written, and i'm going to do a cover of either a D-Generation song, a Black Halos song (because it's about getting drinking your heartborken sorrows away in N.O.), a Squad Five-0 song, or a Buckcherry's "Crushed" as for the four originals, they are all different. two are very classic rock influenced...kind of like a mix between 'Ziggy era' Bowie, The early 70s Stones (think Star Star or Heartbreaker...or Goat's Head Soup/I Know It's Only Rock N Roll) via Lenny Kravitz's 70s style glammy stuff. one song is titled Rock N' Roll Hearts and the other is The Hattiesburg Blues (not blues at all....but it's talking about how i spent most of my time in Hattiesburg in one of the fine diners (Waffle House) there looking at the walls thinking about how lost and lonely and 'out of it' most of the people were (truly depressing)...and how it's our place as believers to try to be different and try to help before we get consumed also.)
the other two songs are just simple, fast paced, three chord old school punk songs. one is Death and Destruction (a song about turning from the sinful ways of the world before we our lead down that path) and the other is not yet titled (it's about standing up for your beliefs even when they are different than what is preached to you from the pulpits and by the gov't.)
as for recording, i have a friend who can hook me up if he is willing to. so i'm hoping to get him to record that stuff for me, i can do the vocals, guitar parts, and bass...but i have to have a friend play the drums. so that's the only thing that will hinder it from getting done quickly, because i have to find a time when my friend can do it.
this month is a good month musically also...some good cd's are coming out. Velvet Revolver's comes out next tuesday!!! and Squad Five-0's major label debut as well as Jesse Malin's cd is coming out both on the 29th.
anyway, that's about all i need to post tonight.

I don't know if anybody will see this, but I think this is a good lyric in light of alot of things.

    Grace
    She takes the blame
    She covers the shame
    Removes the stain
    It could be her name

    Grace
    It's a name for a girl
    It's also a thought that
    Changed the world

And when she walks on the street
    You can hear the strings
    Grace finds goodness
    In everything

    Grace
    She's got the walk
Not on a ramp or on chalk
She's got the time to talk

    She travels outside
    Of karma, karma
    She travels outside
    Of karma

    When she goes to work
    You can hear the strings
    Grace finds beauty
    In everything

    Grace
She carries a world on her hips
No champagne flute for her lips
    No twirls or skips
    Between her fingertips

    She carries a pearl
    In perfect condition
    What once was hurt
    What once was friction
    What left a mark
    No longer stings

    Because grace makes beauty
    Out of ugly things

    Grace finds beauty
    In everything

    Grace finds goodness
    In everything

You are Form 5, Dragon: The Weaver.

"And The Dragon seperated the virtuous from
the sinful. He tore his eyes from his sockets
and used them to peer into the souls of those
on trial to make a judgement. He knew that
    with endless knowledge came endless
    responsibility."

Some examples of the Dragon Form are Athena
(Greek), St. Peter (Christian), and Surya
    (Indian).
The Dragon is associated with the concept of
intelligence, the number 5, and the element of
    wood.
His sign is the crescent moon.

As a member of Form 5, you are an intelligent and
wise individual. You weigh options by looking
at how logical they are and you know that while
there may not always be a right or wrong
choice, there is always a logical one. People
may say you are too indecisive, but it's only
because you want to do what's right. Dragons
are the best friends to have because they're
    willing to learn.

Your soul is bound to the White Rose: The
    Pure.

"I've been waiting in the dark for a long
time, shining my beacon of hope through the
shadow. If you see me, don't you hide your
    eyes from me."

The White Rose is associated with purity, honor,
and chastity. It is governed by the goddess
Artemis and its sign is The Cross, or Agape.

As a White Rose, you are a person of your word.
You may have a strong moral code, but
regardless of your virtue, you always stay true
to yourself. To you, love is the most pure of
emotional forms and it's just a matter of
waiting for it to bless you. Some people may
say you are too idealistic, but it's only
because you don't want to mess things up.

i have felt so good since i started feeling better. between that and God revealing some things to me in my life, i couldn't be happier. i thank God for helping me whenever i feel like i can't go on anymore.

i'm listening to the Beatles and the song 'I Want You'off Abbey Road makes me think of Alice Cooper. Alice Cooper admits that the Beatles are his biggest influence. the more i listen to The Beatles, the more i understand why they are considered the best. they really did do a little bit of everything. they weren't just a poppy, sappy band. well, at least, after Revolver.

this is relevant for the day
    Hear that lonesome whippoorwill,
He sounds too blue to fly.
The midnight train is whining low,
I'm so lonesome I could cry.
I've never seen a night so long
    When time goes crawling by.
The moon just went behind a cloud
To hide its face and cry.

Did you ever see a robin weep,
    When leaves began to die?
That means he's lost the will to live,
I'm so lonesome I could cry.

    loneliness creeps in......
oh well, yet again. i only got three hours of sleep. i really need to start sleeping more, but it just doesn't happen. i feel much better today other than the fact that i'm lonely. i called this girl i had been talking to that i met over the summer, and she told me she had met another guy. i'm happy for her since we live so far apart, but at the same time, i had really grown to like her. we were always chatting on the internet or talking on the phone with each other. oh well, it's life. it makes me think of a Poison song which says 'You're a natural born loser, don't you understand
That's why you're born to sing in a rock n roll band
Born to feel the pain and write sad songs
With losers like us this is where you belong.'

I guess, i shouldn't have actually thought it would work out. Oh well, it's alright The Murderin Cannons (The Remnants bluegrass side-project) is helping me forget about it.
